He was including the PDA phones in that list of 5.

I was not counting the PDA style phones. I consider them to be a seperate style.

Anytime Michael ... By the by, as I'm off contract on all 3 of my phones,
and decided to call SPCS to see if they could offer me something less
expensive than what I'm currently on.

I won't go into all the details, but I went with the 2 year deal, with
everything I had before, dropped my AT minutes down a touch, got the 7:00 N
& W option & 5% discount which I didn't have before, and am going to save at
least 25% on my usual monthly fee. New plan starts on my next billing cycle
    on 2-12.

T-mobile's 3 day weekend plans do not include nights from Monday through
Thursday. Any calls made those nights would count against your regular
minute allotment. You can, however, add the unlimited nights back on for
    $4.99.

So basically you are looking at $44.98, 600 minutes, unlimited nights,
unlimited weekends, starting Thursday night and going till Monday morning.

$64.98 for 1000 anytime minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, and 3 day
    weekend, as described above.
$84.98 for 1500 anytime minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, and 3 day
    weekend as described above.
$104.98 for 2500 anytime minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, and 3 day
    weekend as described above.
$134.98 for 5000 anytime minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, and 3 day
    weekend as described above.

I also have the Sanyo 5300. Does anyone know if the 5300 will do SMS
    when it's available?

I don't believe it will Ed. Short Mail yes, but SMS (which is still
    vaporware for SPCS), no ...

I don't like the two year contract but did it . Got an extra 180 anytime
minutes for doing it and paid $5 for the 7 pm time.
With four phones, two with kids away from home and one with older Father in
law the 7 pm is a real advantage to us.

Nope. If you look on your phone's main menu, and it has an=20
option for Shortmail under "Messaging", then you won't be=20
using the SMS once it's launched (and it appears to be=20
firming up for an end-of-month release).
