You just ask. "If you could see your way clear to waive the fee for a
Sanyo 8100 I would be willing to sign a two year contract for the
Minutes plan we already agreed on".
And if you're a longtime, punctually paying high dollar customer,
they just might do it.

If you had taken the time to read the original post Phillipe, you'd know
that Mark P has only been with SPCS for 2 years or so, and is only paying
$30 pt/mo.
