    What $5 charge? The author of that article is confused. SPCS charges $5 to
    drop the N & W time from 9:00 PM to 7:00 PM, but N & W is included at no
    additional charge on the new plans.

    Cingular just raised prices. Shared minute plans are now $19.99/month
    per phone rather than the $9.99 they were till January 31; and most
    plans now have 50 fewer minutes for the same price.

    Monthly plans are unchanged at Sprint, but the RL2500 and the VM4500
    have gone down $20 in price. "Promotions" That were to end Feb 1 are
    still going.

    att & verizon also require you to sign a 2 yr contract to get the deal, not
    so hot really.
