    I have a Sanyo SCP-5500 (VM4500).

Does anyone know of a way of upoading small video files to the phone?
I read that when you send them to someone the are in a .MOV format so
I would assume to be able to upload a video to the phone, via a PC,
that it would have to be a .MOV file also. And it more than likely
couldn't be over 15 seconds since the phone takes 15 second video
    clips.

If anyone knows how or if this is possilble let me know.

    thanks

I haven't seen anything about moving files into the phone,=20
except if one is shared to it from another video phone. =20
I'm not even sure it gets downloaded to the phone at that=20
    point.

If I find anything, I'll let you know.

A little more info. And I'm having to "cheat" a little, because=20
Corporate has decided Vision tech support doesn't need the required=20
video player, Quicktime 6, in order to support Video Mail.

Anyway, when a video is shared via VM, the phone *does*, in fact,=20
download the video. That, in turn, suggests that it's possible to load=20
    videos into the phone.

    Onfortunately, once it's downloaded, I can't see anything I can *do*=20
with it. Caller ID, standby display, nothing.

Obviously, MC, that doesn't tell you *how* it can be done. But, at=20
least, it would seem to suggest it's possible. If I can find more, I'll=20
    try to get it out.

Thanks again O/Siris knowing it can be done is a big help. Maybe
someone will figure out a way to build a website to upload videos to a
phone much like the sites out today that allow you to upload
    screensavers and ringtones!

    Thanks

I was just wanting to be able to view them. Not really interested in
using them for a standby display or caller ID, etc....

But since it doesn't look like there is a way to upload them from a PC
yet I dont' guess that it really matters.

    Thanks for your help O/Siris

FutureDial's SnapMedia, the software many use to tranfer pictures and
sounds to the new Sprint PCS phones says this about it's current
    functionality with the Sanyo 5500/VM4500:

: SnapMedia can retrieve digital pictures taken from these phones into
your PC ! Note that while the VM4500 can take both still digital images
and moving video clips, SnapMedia can only retrieve still images from
the phone, but not the video clips.
