[Before any arrows fly,Yes I know this is a SPRINTPCS group!. I am posting
    this
for those who have 'come over' from the 'other side' and now can reap year
    another
    benefit of being on Sprint!!]

Saw a legal notice in the Sunday Parade magazine
about a proposed settlement to various class-actions suits that could have
    payouts
for current AND FORMER Verizon customers back to 1991!

This is also for customers of the predecessor Verizon companies, including
    but not limited to:

    Verizon Wireless Frontier Cellular
    AirTouch Cellular Commnet Cellular
    Contel Cellular PrimeCo
    US West Cellular PacTel
Bell Atlantic Mobile Systems Cybertel Cellular
Bell Atlantic Mobile New Vector US West
Bell Atlantic Metro Mobile US West
    Nynex Mobile GTE Wireless
Bell Atlantic Nynex Mobile GTE Mobilenet
    Metro Mobile New Par

and a subset of 6 other companies too, that may be involved!

If you are a current subscriber, supposedly there is no action required on
    your part....
If you are no longer a subscriber, you have to send in info......

This is the second attempt to settle this one......

    for more info see:

Eh, A $15 headset? I get much better ones though the vendors
    themselves.

I probably won't claim if I do qualify (from years ago, 1997-1999),
but hopefully a lot of other people take advantage of it. $15 per
person who left them, that can be a lot of money. (Verizon's cost on
the headsets is probabaly around $3-$5)

Their cost to the lawyers would be what, about $30,000.00? Who's the real
winner here? Class action suits are such a joke, except for the attorneys.

I got a letter regarding the MS class action suit.. I will get $55.00 for
buying a copy of Windows through MS site (but I really bought about 8 copies
of various Windows versions over the past few years). Anyway, I get $55.00
the attorneys are getting about 40 MILLION!
