Nobody has Free Holidays. The other carrers have Holidays where daytime
minutes are off-peakand count as night and weekend if you have a plan
    including those.

Absolutely. Other carriers have Holiday off-peak minutes. SprintPCS
doesn't. Sprint PCS is certainly free to do that, but it is also
    appropriate to remind folks.

Could someone name the other carriers which have the *holiday* ?

Others do, but not the majority anymore. Your posts are meaningless on this
subject, as well as everything else you lie about.

I can name two that don't on Monday- Cingular and Nextel. With Sprint added
to the list, that is half of the national carriers that don't. Phil has
lied again, by saying 'MOST' will charge oof-peak for the day.

Well, not Easter, anyway. It ALWAYS falls on a Sunday. ;-)

I'm sorry, but if you're going to have intelligent, rational thoughts
on this subject, you'll have to take it elsewhere.

The OP's intent was to do nothing other than make trouble.

    From Verizon's website:

"Domestic long distance is included from your home airtime rate area.* Domestic roaming is 69¢ / minute. CDMA tri-mode phone with specific software and preferred roaming list required. No activation fee for two-year agreements. $35 activation fee per line on one-year agreements. One- or two-year agreement required. $175 early termination fee applies to each line. Night hours are 9:01 PM to 5:59AM, Monday to Friday. Weekend hours are 12:00 AM Saturday through 11:59 PM Sunday. Peak hours are all other times except certain holidays. Long distance and roaming rates for International calls where available will vary.
    * Airtime charges apply. Night & Weekend Minutes are Home Airtime Minutes"

From Wash DC market. Major holidays for were off-peak rates for me.

Add Verizon to the list that won't be offering off-peak for Monday. I
believe ATTW is the same way, and should know soon. That would mean at least
5 out of the 6 national carriers won't be offering Monday as a holiday.

Hey Phil- who are the carriers you were talking about when you said 'most'
carriers will be offering holiday minutes? As usual, Phil lies again.

ATTW is not offering Monday as a holiday- it has been confirmed. That makes
5 out of 6 (with TMobile being the only one that hasn't been verified).

Phil is a moronic lying troll.

    Verizon.

Christmas, Thanksgiving, July 4th, New Years, and about five or six other
major holidays are billed as off-peak.

No carrier that I know of, however, bills President's Day as off-peak.

Regardless if Phil's right or wrong - he does address the problem
when some people mistakenly think they are talking for free just
    because its a holiday.

    Very true.

Always check your plan before you assume you are using a certain type of
    minutes.
Never assume anything. Every 3 months or so I check the website ( both
generic website and my account ) and once a year, I call CS to make sure
nothing has changed on my plan.

If you know you are going to be using a boatload of minutes on a certain
day, all it takes is a couple of minutes to do *611 to be sure. :-)

I am not being smart; but I have ask for the names of the carriers who
were suppose to have the *free* minutes on monday--because of the
article--myself, I knew sprint and verizon were not, because I'm a
    customer of both.

my question, who are most people who did think this, and why did they
know this?---even on verizon, which does have the 6 holidays, it is
not a very well publicized feature---now it use to be, on the
brochures of about 5 years ago, when gte/cellular one brands controled
my area--but it is mentioned now only in the mice print, if
there.......so again, why/how would anyone think this, as I knew
beyond a doubt my two carriers didn't.
