Many cars are having options to be wired for bluetooth these days. I
have tested some of them, and some of the implementations are very nice.

As far as I can tell Sprint does not currently have any bluetooth
compatible phones. If this is the case does anyone know if there are
    any on the horizon?

The Sony / Ericcsson T-608, but good luck getting one.

A huge craze came out over the phone, only available though telematics
and telesales, plus only 10,000 were ordered.

T608 works fine on my Toyota Prius - and on a friend's BMW.

However, it's a fundamentally flaky phone, with bugs and glitches. The
screen is quite poor, and the phone occasionally reboots as though it needs
    a nap.

Why is that tolerable? Well, I have a terrific OLD plan with Sprint, and the
phone works well with the car. Finally, in the three or so months I've had
the T608, I don't think it has ever dropped a call!

The moment Sprint generates a new Bluetooth-capable phone, I'll get it.

I think this is more a commentary on how well BlueTooth is implemented
in the Toyota Prius. My son loves his Cingular T616 in his Prius.
