Well, that's a pretty open question there. There are quite a few satisfied
customers, some not so satisfied, and then there's Robert M aka: Phillipe
and 53 other identities, who's never satisfied, but still stays with the
    coverage.

What's important is filling in your cellular needs at a price level you can
afford. SPCS may be the best for what You need, or another provider might,
depending on where you plan to use the phone, what options you want, and
lastly, what type of phone to use.

You might reply, and add your area where you plan to use the service. Some
local people might jump in and relay their cellular experiences for your
    neck of the woods.

I had Sprint - switched to AT&T - and now have Sprint and AT&T (long story).
One advantage of Sprint is you can pay $10 extra a month and you do not have
to sign a contract. The biggest advantage, in my opinion, is you can use
Vision with certain Vision enabled Sprint phones and connect to your laptop
via a cable to download email or get online at better than dialup speeds
(this is not supported by Sprint, however). I also think the current plan I
have, $30 300 anytime/unlimited nights (starting at 8pm) and unlimited
weekends is a pretty darn good deal - it does not show this plan on their
website but I am sure you could get it. I also love the Sanyo 4900 phone -
it's a speaker phone and has a lot of extras my Nokia does not have (like
flashing when you have a message waiting). I also must say I have always
had excellent customer service. Good luck in your choice! DonnaB

In honor of Chris Russel here is useful information:

This FAQ is in no way authored by Sprint Spectrum, Sprint or Sprint PCS.
By reading on, you agree that you are fully aware of this. I see many
questions asked repeatedly about problems with phones, and thought an
"Unofficial WLNP FAQ" was in order. I have no association (i.e. never
been employed or received any remuneration) with SprintPCS and there is
a greater than zero chance there may be errors herein. I believe
everything to be correct, but use the information at your own risk. This
FAQ comes not from SprintPCS, so it is unofficial, but apparently has
useful information some SprintPCS apologists are upset about being made
public, but I know many folks want to leave SprintPCS.

The Associated Press wrote a series of questions and answers about the
number portability that took effect on November 24, allowing you to keep
your cell phone number if you switch carriers. It is likely less biased
than any such statements made by any single wireless carrier.

Each carrier has its own site explaining portability in terms of
    Switching to itself.

    Re: Let's Party

I've had Verizon, AT&T and Cellular One (which I think is something else
now). I've had Sprint PCS for the last two years or so, and I'm happy with
it. I have better coverage than I've had before. My calls rarely get
dropped, the clarity is usually pretty good, the couple of times I had to
call CS, they solved the problem I was having. On the other hand, I'm not a
major user -- I keep a minimal air-time plan, I use it for calling out, but
I don't give the number to others. It's better than any of the other
    service I've had so far.

On the other hand I have Sprint for local service and I HATE them!!!! They
have NEVER made any changes to my service that they didn't screw something
else up. I have no other local service available where I am, so I'm stuck,
and they've been pretty much of a nightmare during the 9 years I've had to
    use them.

It always amazes me how their local service can stink so bad, and their
cellular service can be so good.
    Just my two cents.
