I'm thinking of buying the Sanyo VM 4500. Looking for opinions about the phone
    from folks that own one.

    TIA

If price is not an object, it's a great phone. Battery life is
an issue if you are going to use "Ready Link"

If cost is not a consideration go for it.
    Great camera.
    Videos are ok.
    Good battery life.
Answering machine feature can be useful at times.
Best of all - Great reception and clarity.
I traded up from a Sanyo 5300 which was a great phone and the VM4500
    is even better.

    Good luck.

Cost $379 - ($150 instant Best Buy rebate) - ($150 mail in rebate) for a
total of $79 at best buy.

I have a 5400 and have a 5500 on order, the worst thing I have found
is the std battery is too small---I got an after market battery from x
acessories from ebay which solved the battery problem, except that it
makes the phone thicker--but it when from talk time of less than 1
complete day to 2+ days, and then I still have the spare, should it be
necessary. I don't have interest in the x brand, it was just the
first one offered when I got the 5400 back in november, the price was
right, no over-charge on shipping, and the product is apparently first
    rate.
