You have no proof of this- this is purely speculation on your part, and
until you can provide hard facts to back this up, it is nothing but
    suppositions and lies.

Every national carrier has a department that tries to retain customers (not
necessarily called a Retention Team), and Sprint is one of them. I know
this from professional experience, and not from random thoughts running
    through my head, unlike you.

I am sorry you pick and choose which of the postings on USENET to remember
    and/or believe.

That fact remains that folks are being offered the retention plan of $40 for
750 AT, Unlimited 8PM N&W; whether you want to believe it or not.

    Facts? Try this-

Sprint - Cancellation group is their retention team (as will be backed up by
    the employees in this group)
Nextel- Account Services is their retention group
Verizon- has an actual Retention team, although they are very inflexible.
AT&T- also has an actual Retention team.

Feel free to verify any of this any way you'd like.

No- you are the one who ignores questions, and refuses to admit when you are
    wrong.

Show me where I questioned this at any time. You can't, and are trying to
deflect attention from the fact that you are once again dead wrong in your
    childish rantings.

Yes, that is a good point.

Perhaps, we should discuss why some people get offered retention deals,
and some do not. I have no proof to back this up as this is personal
opinion, but I think retention deals should be based on how long you've
been a customer, payment history, and what the reason to cancel is (i.e.
saw a better offer with a different carrier, etc).

If you are a brand spankin' new customer or one with frequent
disconnects and non-payments... or a long history of "calling to cancel"
only to haggle with the rep for a better deal... I don't think deals
should be offered for these people.

    What does everyone else think?

Whom are you referring to? I agreed with you and I didn't accuse you of
    childish rantings.

How did I agree? You say they don't have a retention team at all, and I
just stated otherwise. Just because you have mentioned the Cancellation
team in posts (and been wrong about their function) does NOT make your
assumption any less wrong than it was.

    THERE IS NO RETENTION TEAM.

There is a cancellation team that will do retentions if they are of a mind to.

    to.

Stop trying to play semantics- you always lose.

    A couple of FACTS:

Every cellular provider has a retention team. Sprint's is called the
    Cancellation team.

Not every customer is going to qualify for a retention offer.

Sprint is recognized (in the press and among cellular analysts) as having
the most aggressive retention program in the industry.

I'll post references for the last point, but only under the condition that
once I do, you shut the hell up and admit that you don't have a clue about
any of this. If that's too restrictive for you, Google for it.

1st , There IS A RETENTION TEAM, I have a good friend who happens to
work on it. So as usual Phill your full of ****.
2nd I suspect this little rant is due to the fact that our troll called
in trying to to get a better deal by pulling the ' I'm going elsewhere
if you can't do something for me' crap and looking at his account they
decided he isn't worth it,so canceled him, causing him to do some MAJOR
back pedaling and embarrassing him by showing him for the morally
    corrupt ass he is.
Phillie's a moronic troll, Sprint would do well to flush this turd .

Actually, I think Phil got twisted up because he recommended the Retention
group to a poster on the alt.cellular, and had an incorrect phone number for
them. In short, he looked like an idiot (imagine that). Now he needs to
backpedal by saying that there is no such group ANYMORE.

Thanks for the public affirmation, though. Between Phil and the Supreme
Blowhard, I'm having trouble deciding who the bigger troll is.

Yeah- nothing like a biased source of information to back up your claim.
Many of the people posting there are now FORMER CSR's. They would be
    objective, wouldn't they?

And no CSR's have posted here about a retention quota. You lie again.

Retention is typically a centralized function, and not a call center
function. Once again, you show your complete ignorance for everything to do
with both business in general and cellular operations.
