Oh- one other thing that Phil has wrong- you probably won't be able to call
and get the discount. It will probably take a trip to your local store.

A couple of months ago I added the USAA discount over the phone by providing
my USAA number. No trip to the Sprint Store was needed.

I hate to tell ya but all ya have to do is call and tell them the company
you work for. Your billing Cycle will be changed to match the company and
all they ask for is your supervisor's name, job address and phone number
they don't check anything.

Well, I don't know about that. Maybe half-wrong?
He said you employment verification is usually required.. which was true in
my case and he also said you might need to go to the store to do it.. which
wasn't true in my case.

No, stupid- I was mistaken on this one, and I admit it. You, on the other
hand, have NEVER admitted being wrong, even though you have been proven
wrong on more ocassions than I can count.
You were wrong-
-when you said AT&T would never offer 7 pm nights
-when you said Sprint didn't have a Retention department
-when you said that AT&T wouldn't match web prices at retail stores
-when you said that Sprint's retention teams vasy by call center
You ride both sides of the argument-
-when talking about Sprint profitiability
-when talking about Sprint coverage maps
-when talking about Sprint's Cancellation team
And all of this is in the last couple of weeks, and only represents a small
portion of each list. This doesn't take into consideration the fact that
you have used up to three different names in a single thread on many
ocassions this week, in an attempt to bolster your own lame arguments. You
are the most clueless poster available on most (not all) of the topics you
post on, and your habit of lying and posting factless claims is well
documented here. I will just continue to point that out.

Yes, you need to submit proof that you work for that company, and it
can't be done over the phone, the proof has to be done in person.

Thanks, Tech- I was pretty sure that would be the policy.
Hey Phil- you can take the time to apologize personally in the group. It
appears that I wasn't wrong after all, and while some have been able to do
it over the phone, that falls outside of policy.

I read what you posted earlier, and you were lucky. The policy is that the
verification be done in person. Like any other company, Sprint has
employees that take the easy way out. I'll guarantee that if the employee
that helped you was being monitored during the transaction, they are now an
ex-employee.
Tech Geek would know the policy- he works for them.

Sprint apologists trying to make it seem like everyone who is entitled
to this discount has it already or its hard to get.
Both insinuations are wrong.
Depends on the CSR. Some may only ask for the name, title and phone
number of your immediate superior. If your company has its own assigned
SprintPCS sales rep, it may just take a short call to that sales rep,
whose Caller ID would verify who you worked for. Thats all it took in my
case. No trips to a store, no providing of "special proof". Nothing that
had to be done in person.
YMMV.
