hi, last time i asked in this group i got retention plan for $35
/month. 650 anytime, 3000 n&w, and 8pm start time. Have bee out of
contract for 10 months now. I have had a few problems with dropped
calls and dead zones so my kids friend who works for ATT said they
have new deals with free phone. Question is could i get sprint to
throw in the Free and Clear plan so i wouldn't have roaming charge and
also Pcs to Pcs for the same $35 buck or is this asking too much. or
could i get 7pm start for N&W . I have two phone with the same plan so
my total bill is $82 buck /month with taxes. What have they been
willing to do to keep old time customer.

You wouldn't get it if you don't ask.
You might do better with the new $40/750 minute Retention plan, make the
second phone an add-a-phone for $20, and $5 for 7 PM, total $65,
with taxes under $80.
If you get a dropped call, call *2, dial 1 (for English) and tell
Claire: "Dropped Call Credit".

Just for a bit of clarification, F&CA is not a plan, it's an option that can
be added to a F&C Nationwide program for roaming up to 50% of the minutes
used within a month ... but only if you have your account in SPCS's coverage
area. The 7:00 N & W option will require a 2 year contract.
As for what SPCS will or won't do, that will depend on your history with
SPCS. They will bend a bit if you've got a good history with them.
The more important thing to ask right now is ... why and when you are
experiencing the dropped calls and dead zones? Doing a new plan is useless
if you find you will experience the same problems as before. The important
thing to consider, first and foremost is the ability to make calls, then the
equipment and finally the price.
Have you moved recently or going to new areas that might be on the fringe of
coverage?
How old are your phones and have you updated the firmware and PRLs on them
at all? You can check whether you have the most recent versions for your
phones @

Just to clarify a little further, the Sprint PCS Coverage area doesn't
determine eligibility for the "50%" F&C America plan. It's actually
based on your market - all Sprint operated markets (aka "corporate
markets") offer the 50% plan. I'm now being led to believe that
affiliates are starting to support the 50% plan as well. (I'm in an
affiliate CSA and couldn't get the 50% in December. I have it now.)
Easiest thing to do is to enter the zip code of your CSA at
http://sprintpcs.com scroll down to "Free and Clear America" and click
the link. The window that appears will explain the plan to you.
