hi hi hi...!!!

1) what is the theory behind the T9 Word Menu...??

2) is it possible to Preview the Screensavers & Ringers that
may be bought
before actually buying them...???

3) i have 'heard of' free ringers and screensavers, but have
not seen them,
are they accumulated somewhere...???

4) who thought PREPEND was a common word...??? my big
dictionary doesn't have it in it, i had to go on the web and
find it in a Mathematics Jargon Dictionary...???

5) is it possible to send email from a conventional -big
computer- to a pcs phone...???

6) is it possible to send pictures from a conventional -big
computer- through email to a pcs phone, to be used as a
screensaver, or such, or a sound file to be used as a ringer...???
( my big computer is a mac...! )

7) is there a FULL and Complete operational manual somewhere...
the manual & CD that came with it, seems to suggest that
there is,
but i couldn't find it on the sprint site, the pdf manual there,
seems to be a duplicate of the superficial one that came
in the box.

8) when i got my phone, ( before i bought it, and in fact, i
kept telling the salesman, I DON'T ENOUGH MONEY TO GET IT
TODAY...I JUST DON'T HAVE IT...!!! ) so anyways... he pulls
a box ( the phone ) out from under the counter, and BREAKS
THE INNER SEALS, and assembles the phone to show it to
me...!!! if i didn't buy it, Which i did, after i'd run to
the bank to juggle my accounts (!!!), what would have becoem
of that phone, do they have a machine to reseal the
packages...???
( it seemed like a terrible scam to me...!!! )
( but it is a VERY NICE PHONE... although after my 2 months
of internet and advanced VISION functions are up, i can't
imagine keeping them... they are just pure fluff...! )

I'll try to answer your questions one at a time:

1) It "guesses" what you're inputting into the phone. So if you hit 5225 it
might guess you're enter to type JACK. If you hit 5646 it might guess you're
trying to enter JOHN.
2) I'm not sure on this one. I have seen that they give you a sample of the
screensaver/wallpaper and if you go onto SPrints website and login, you can
go to content and listen to some of the ringers. I was able to download them
from there and since I have the USB cable and Datapilot I could upload the
ringers to the phone. You might need the full version of Quicktime though. I
have read where people weren't able to do it and I could only guess that is
the reason.
3) You could do a search on google but other people in the group could get
you URLs. I haven't really gone to any sites like that.
4) I have no idea.
5) Yes. You need your username for the phone. It should tell you what that
is on the website after you login.
6) I haven't tried this but in theory it should work since you could email
pictures from phone to phone and phone to computer.
7) You might try the manufacturer of the phone's website. I found a manual
for my new RL2000 on Sanyo's site and is more extensive than the one that
came with the phone.
8) Most stores have the machine in the back room to do such a thing. It's
not really a scam because they are just showing you the phone. If it never
leaves the store it isn't considered used. Now if they had the phone out as
a display model, that would be a different story. They would have to tell
you that the phone is used or re-conditioned. I used to work for a company
that did this with copy machines. They would have a machine in their show
room for months, sell it but before it would leave for delivery it would be
sent upstairs to be reconditioned. Of course they would never tell the
customer because they would roll back the meter, replace all worn parts and
then sell it as a new machine. Buyer beware.

No and Yes ... I start with no, as the emails are not sent to a phone, but
to an email address and stored on a server. You can access the email via
your phone to either SPCS's server, Earthlink, Yahoo, or any of the other
portals available through your Vision menu.

I finish with Yes, in that you can text message the phone, and have
notificiations sent to the phone, either by another SPCS phone, or by the
following link - http://tinyurl.com/2bmjj . You can also get notifications
sent via one of the portal services, for news, sport scores, weather
horoscopes, etc. I have a 5-day weather report sent to me every morning @
7:00 AM.

No, it's not scam, as it wasn't used ... If you hadn't purchased the phone,
they would have sold it as new, and provided a full 12 month warranty on it.

As to the Vision, some people like it, some people don't. Once you start
taking pictures and sending them to friends, family, etc, you might find
some value to Vision.

Yes, if you log onto Sprint's website, you can sample ringers and
preview screensavers there. There is no way to preview them on your
specific phone, however, without buying them.
