I walk 5 miles every morning and when I had the Sanyo 8100 could conduct
business on the phone while walking,. With the new 8200 the reception is
very bad and I break up. Is the reception on the 8200 not as good as the
8100?

Either you have a bad 8200, or the signal has deteriorated in your area.
Take the phone to a SprintPCS company store and express your concerns,
and don't leave without some action on their part.

It should have the same reception capabilities as the 8100. How long have
you had the phone, and in that time, how long have you noticed the problem?
It could be a bad phone, or if you are noticing the problem in one specific
area, a coverage problem.

If the problem only happens in that one area, it could be a blind spot, or
possibly some tower outage or repair. If you remember having coverage in
that specific section previously with your 8100, and the problem continues,
I'd suggest calling into *2 and making a trouble ticket. Have all the
details handy as to an address (or at least the cross streets) where the
problem starts and ends.
Good luck ...

Re: Sanyo 8200 is it me?
No need to back down on your comments regarding the poor reception of
the new Sanyo 8200.
I went to the forum and many people agreed that the Sanyo 8100 has the
best in reception of the two.

Re: Sanyo 8200 is it me?
I am not backing down I have tested it for a week and the reception is
the same. I see nothing any different than the 8100 in the reception area

Re: Sanyo 8200 is it me?
My wife and I owned 3 different 8100's
We now have 2 of the 8200's
The 8200 does a much better job where we live (Central Ohio)
The 8200 is the upgraded, new and improved successor to the 8100.
I would believe the 8100 is equal to the 8200, but not better than the
8200. That just doesn't make any techinal sense.

Re: Sanyo 8200 is it me?
I own both 8100 and 8200. The 8200 stinks!!! I drop calls, no signal
etc.... If i can't get a signal on the 8200, all i have to do is turn
on the 8100...
Not the same...

The only problem I have with the 8200 over the 8100 is the fact there's
only 1 power plug with the 8200 so you can't have the data cable plugged
in while it charges.
