    I'd call that an update (to 1.12 firmeware). Upgrade might be
    a deal on a Treo 610.

    Actually, it's 1.20 firmware.

    One thing I like: It's no longer echoing the password characters to the
    screen when you are unlocking the phone. Duh! 8-)

    Well that behavior is a legacy from Graffiti-based Palms where you really need
    to see if Graffiti is getting your input right. I wouldn't want to change that
    for Palms that are still using Graffiti input but I can understand that it
    makes less sense for those units like the Treo that are primarily keyboard or
    thumbboard input.
