Dumb question on my part but Ive never owned a cell
phone that has a camera built in to it

How does one get the pictures OUT of a Samsung VGA 1000
cell phone used with Sprint service??

Do you connect a cable direct between the phone and
computer and download the pics THAT way?

Or must one "email" the pics to himself using air time
on the Sprint network to do it?

That's one way, using one of the software products out there. You can check
these products SnapMedia from Futuredial.com , or Data Pilot from
Susteen.com or Bitpim from http://bitpim.sourceforge.net/ and see whether
    your phone model is supported.

You don't use minutes off your plan. You use Vision to send those pictures
to anyone's email. If you don't subscribe to Vision, it's going to cost you
$.01 per kb to send the data.

Assuming no Vision pack, of course. But he will *also*=20
have to pay a flat $5/month to retain access to PictureMail=20
in order to send pics that way.

BTW, you don't have to email them. You can simply upload=20
them to the Picturemail web site, which can then be=20
    accessed at http://pictures.sprintpcs.com. Newer phones=20
look like they're going to have a different URL, but that's=20
    the one for the VGA1000.
