I have a samsung n400 -- most of the time the phone works fine.
(when its charged up, it goes all day with no problem).

When I got the phone (in october) it occassionally locked up (I had
to remove the battery to make the phone boot). Sometimes it locked
up with the light on (which drained the battery much faster).

In the last few months, I have a repetitive problem -- the phone
discharges at times when the charger is plugged in. The phone WON'T
operate without the battery (ugh!! battery operated devices with DC in
should work without a battery!!). When the battery gets very low,
it doesn't seem to know how to start charging (I have to do many
cycles of pulling the power cord in/out, removing the battery, etc.)
to get it to start charging. If the phone can't start charging, I can't
    even turn it on.

I have the current firmware they talk about on sprintpcsinfo.com --

Most of the time I play with the phone for 5 minutes and get it to
start charging. Last night, it took me almost an hour -- in the middle
of the night the phone was almost charged, this morning it was discharged...

Anyone else have the same weirdness?

Marty, take you phone into a SPCS store, when you are in the area of one,
and have a technician test it out. Either the battery is bad or the phone
itself. As your phone is still under warranty, and if your phone is bad,
SPCS may replace it with another model. If they do, make sure that all your
current attachments will work on the new phone, or have them supply you with
    them.
