Monthly Virgin plan? Maybe you're thining Verizon. There is no monthly
Virgin plan. It's $.25 for the first ten minutes, $.10 a minute
thereafter. Pay as you go.

Yeah I know we were talking about Locus Mobile.

Re: NYC Virgin Mobile phone
I realize that this thread is old, but I wanted to correct any
association I have with Pharos International regarding CallPlus
airtime, in case any one finds this thread as a result of a search for
information. I had a flap with the owner of the Pharos website, and
because of a mistake on his website, purchased an airtime card that
provided less time than advertised. The owner refused to compensate me
in any way for his mistake. I feel his business practice is as shoddy
as his website, and do not want my name associated with any
recommendation for his business.

I had gone Pharos to look and found my best deal by going to CompUSA
and buying Virgin.
CompUSA has two stores in Manahattan NYC
and the one at 5 Ave and 37 St [only]
has sometimes assitional free time for the phon.
Wife and I have now been on Virgin since August 2004.
Altho domestic Ldx is inlcuded w/Virgin we do not use internation on
them. Too much $$. For international we use OneSuite. Incredibly low
long distance phone rates, As low as USA-Canada 1.9CPM! Works as
prepaid phone card. PIN not needed for calls from home or cell phone.
Compare the rates at https://www.onesuite.com/ No monthly fee or
minimum. Use promotion code "034720367" for some FREE time.

also, for those who live in FL, IL, IN, LA, MD, MS, MO, TX, VA, or WI,
check out Beyond Wireless (www.gobeyondwireless.com) for much lower
rates than CallPlus, minutes never expire, one call per 60 days
minimum, uses the ATT TDMA system, but 4 minutes/minute roaming (so you
must have a local number).
