First of all, I want to point out that NEITHER of the phone numbers
listed in this group for the Retention department (ending in 0468 and
7913) worked. I got the "this number has been disconnected" message on
    both of them.

I had to call the regular Sprint number, and I said "cancellation" to
the voice-activated menu thing, thinking that would get me to
Retention, but it didn't. I talked to someone who tried to sell me the
usual package that I could have got from the Web site. I told them I
was looking at T-Mobile's Web site, and that T-Mobile had a much better
deal on a shared-minutes plan. So the CSR said, "well, I don't have
anything better here, but let me put you through to the Retention
Department, maybe they have something better."

Here's what I learned: they're really NOT willing to bend on the price
of Add-a-Phone. I told the Retention CSR that I'd love it if I could
essentially keep my existing plan (400 anytime, 8pm nights) but add a
phone for an additional $10; then it would be just like T-Mobile's
deal. But she absolutely would not lower the AaP price from $20; all
she could do was sweeten the $40 pot, and I could have gotten the
sweeter pot with or without the additional line.

So here's what I ended up getting: 2 lines, 750 shared anytime minutes,
    8pm nights, unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling, and a 5% discount: $57.
Oh, and a free Nokia phone for my wife. While I was hoping to get the
monthly cost down to $50, this way we have 350 more minutes than
T-Mobile would have given, plus nights an hour earlier (important when
you live on the west coast), for just $7 more. I'm pleased.

First, I am glad that they were able to make you happy.

My Brother just used Retention and seems to be happy with the results.
He used the phone number from http://www.sprintpcsinfo.com and was able
to actually get somebody in retention on the first call.
