Lately I have been missing more and more calls. this afternoon I got a voice
mail alert, the phone never rang.

I checked my voice mail and had 4 messages, all from this morning. the phone
never rang and it never alerted me to the received voice mails.

I called these people back and they said when they called it rolled right
into voice mail. I called sprint and they said to have the phone
diagnosed and I also may occasionally need to remove the battery.
Sounds like crap to me, anyone here really know what's going on ?

    Thanks

What phone are you using, how old is it, and where are you?

As for diagnosing the phone, it's possible the phone is the problem,
particularly if the phone is an older model. If it's been beaten around
enough (or defective) then the phone won't be transmitting or receiving
up to spec, causing the issues you've described.

It could also just as well be the phone is perfectly fine, and there's
    bad coverage in your area.

Actually, CS gave some good advice. You didn't mention which model you have,
and on some models mentioned here previously, it has been mentioned to
    remove the battery.

It wouldn't be a bad idea either to get your phone tested at your local SPCS
    store.
