Most of the links in my phone get a 'page unavailable' error. Like the link
to the Vision homepage. The only thing that seems to work is the google
link.
Am I missing something?? Does Sprint care about Vision anymore??????

Have you tried going to the Vision home page [option 1 in the menu]?
Does that page work? I am not seeing any trouble with the sites I like
to go too [CNN, Yahoo Finance, etc].

It works now. But it seems to be on and off...I have noticed it a lot
recently.

When I have seen this problem happen, it is a localized problem...
Last time it happened to me, was about 6 months ago...
Suggestion: Power-off phone, wait 2 minutes, power back on and retry....
That said, what MAY happen, is when you go back to Vision you will get the
message "Network busy, Please try later"
My personal experience also has been, at Christmas time, if you are in the
vicinity of a shopping mall, and schools are out, you may be experiencing
HEAVY data(Vision traffic, due to an abnormal number of data(Vision) users!
I experienced it last year around one shopping area. I could not connect for
anything.. voice was fine...
You ask "Does Sprint care about Vision anymore?" what would ever lead you to
believe otherwise?
I use it to look up scores, stock quotes, news. Get flight notifications.
I send news stories to my son's Vision phone, from Outlook.
Access Weather...
Etc etc etc....

Likely a capacity problem where you're located. What area are you in?

I just ask if they care because a lot of the time I get errors, unavailable
pages, etc. Any problem with HTML email? I can't read most mail on my
sprintpcs account with my samsung a500

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I'm up in NYC for the holidays. The replies
you have are all good explanations. Vision has been working for me up here
in NYC. In fact, I was surprised this morning when I was on line, and
received a call at the same time. I spoke for 5 minutes and didn't drop the
data call on my 5300.

Re: Dammit! Bob Smith, others...What is wrong with Vision???
I've had similar problems during the last 2-3 days in Raleigh NC area.
Also getting 403 forbidden. battery removal seemed to help, but it
also could be that the area was congested and then got better too.
even home page didn't work. sprint's CS tech just wanted to make sure
the URL for the home hadn't changed (it hadn't). I couldn't get any
site to work (all got unknown or 403). they offered to 'take a trouble
report' (I thought that WAS what I was doing), and they would look
into it and get back to me in 2-3 DAYS and see. I'm traveling for the
holidays, so we'll see how it works next week...

Generally, 403 Forbidden isn't a network issue, so the data network is
certainly operating. The site is just porbably acting freaky.
I too was experiencing problems with the Sprint PCS Vision site on
Christmas Eve when I was stuck at the airport and trying to use the
portal to look up the airline's number. Fortuantely I'm on using a
Treo, so even though the Vision site was unavailable, I could just type
in a URL to look elsewhere and the phone handled it well.
In West Texas now for the holidays. Hoaven't bothered to acutally use
the Vision portal, but visitng other sites and downlading data from
AvantGo is exceptionally fast down here with no timeouts. The data side
of things has much improved in this area from last year, when network
timeouts were frequent.

Add the LA/OC area. I have to hit "Go To Vision Homepage" several times to
get it to work. A Vision profile update didn't help any.
