My new Sanyo phone is supposed to have a binking LED on the outside
to indicate that the phone is in service. It doesn't light up at
all, and I don't see any setup items which enable or disable it.
What's up..? thanks.

Odd. The only time I see it mentioned in the user guide is for
indicating Ready Link status. I don't know.

Perhaps I misunderstood the purpose of the LED. All the manual says
on page 18 is: "LED Indicator: Shows your phone's connection status
at a glance."
I assumed it was the same as the flashing green LED on my wife's
Samsung Sprint phone. With that phone, it's an indication that the
phone is on and connected to the network.

Yeah, I caught that also. But the only thing that I found to refer to
it was apparently "built-in" functionality for determining the status of
a Ready Link conversation.
