Hi, my folks are soon getting a Prius, and want to expand their plan
with Sprint to include a bluetooth phone that is compatable with their
new car. The Treo 650 isnt really an option, since its a Palm, and the
PM-325 supposedly has crippled bluetooth, so im assuming this means it
wont work with the prius (right?) - so what option does that leave
them? Is sprint planning on releasing a bluetooth phone in the next 3
months that will work with the Prius. Is sprint just not the provider
to have for this service? Should they buy an old phone (sony-ericsson
608 i think was compatable). Any help would be much appreciated

Well... I've got a T608 I'd sell you if you want to try it, but the
crippling of BT that was done on the PM-325 was for something called
"OBEX". It basically keeps the phone from exchanging data with a
    laptop.

So far as I'm aware, the PM-325 will connect with the BT functions of a
    Prius.

There is no reason that the Treo won't work in a Prius. The Treo 650 works
flawlessly with the bluetooth in my Chrysler 300C. The 1.12 firmware fixed
everything, the old 1.08 firmware barely worked but the 1.12 links up
    instantly.
