Sanyo 8200 problem

My 8200 keeps changing to Roaming "Automatic" mode even when I keep
setting it up to "Sprint" ONLY mde in my settings.

Why is it keep doing that?

I don't have that model, but no matter what model, I think it is a
problem that the phone would keep switching to a mode where you could be
hit with roaming charges. Settings should stay where you put them.
