how do I install the drivers for my usb data cable?

I bought a usb data cable through ebay and all I received was a cd with
drivers on it. No .exe file. Can someone be so kind as to show this
untechnical person where I can place these drivers in order to have my
computer recognize my phone, thanks

forget it, I just answered my own question. Let's just say that
powercycling is your friend.

Probably those files on you CD has *.dll or *.sys files on it, if you mak a
Right click on one of those file you will see a pop up window. On that
window will see Instullation, now if you Left click oniit, it will install.

Another way is if you connect your Phone to the computer, Your windows try
to search for drivers. You should direct it to your CD.
