Yes, I agree, but wouldn't it make more sense to start with the newer
offerings from Motorola rather than offering a phone that is over a year
    old?

Not really ... there is no industry demand for Sanyo phones beyond Sprint PCS
.... they have no real market penetration outside of Sprint PCS.

I guess I don't buy that. My Wife had the Sanyo 8200 and I could hear her
conversations from across the room. I swore she must be going depth, but
picking up her phone and using it proved the volume to not be exceptionally
    loud.

I had no real sweet spot issues with my Sanyo 7400 (with a leather case on
    it).

What is "going depth"? Is it a bad thing? :-)

I have no clue why I wrote that? I am working on a CAD/CAM add-in to Autodesk
Inventor, so perhaps my mind had a bit of a glitch .... I better look for a
variable named _deaf in the code ;-)

I question how hard they've even tried to market phones through other carriers.

I have never seen Sanyo even OFFERED anywhere besides Sprint.

In the US. In Japan they're ubiquitous and up against very
    heavy competition.

Linguistic variant of a common practice among wide receivers
    and philosophers.

Verizon did offer one Sanyo model back in 1999 when they were still
Airtouch here in So. Cal. But it was VERY short lived.

They are going to offer the new KRZR. But no I think it's best that
they jump on the RAZR bandwagon now even if it is an old phone. It's
still the best selling phone and is expected to keep that title through
    the Holiday season.
