I don't believe it. I have been with Sprint for years, but this is
nuts.
I have been getting hangups on my cell phone for over a week. The same
toll free number calls me three times a day and hangs up without
leaving a message. The number is 866-463-3020.
I don't answer calls with numbers I do not recongnize, so I let these
all go to voice mail. However, no message was ever left, they simply
redailed a few days later. Honestly, I thought it was a political poll
as it's that time of year.
Today, it just happened for the third time so I answered having enough
of this!
IT WAS SPRINT! Telling me I was a "wonderful customer" and trying to
sell me ADDITIONAL LINES and get me to give phones as CHRISTMAS GIFTS!!
I don't believe it! Not only are they telemarketing their own
customers now, but they are calling and calling over and over each day
and hanging up instead of leaving a message.
SO, I have to have about 20 minutes of incoming calls all from THEM
that I am sure were deducted from my minutes for the month.
I was not very kind. I said no thank you and asked the rep why I had
been called about 20 times in the last week by them at this number and
no message was left?? I asked if they normally dial their customers
over and over and hang up? Her reply "Thank you for choosing
Sprint/Nextel"!!

Re: Sprint Telemarketing my Cell Phone!
I agree it's annoying and it has happened to me but the calls will not be
deducted from your minutes. They are free calls to you. You will NOT be
billed. What I do is I create an address book entry for that phone number
and call it something like "Don't Answer" as the name.
They tried to force me to add minutes and lines to my existing account, I
have 1,000 minutes and would not allow me to buy a phone and add it to my
account, I had to buy a new account. They even suggested I give them to my
parents. Sorry, no, my parents can afford their own phone service, I told
them. But they kept on insisting I take their "great deal". They continued
to bother me every day for the next two weeks. After not answering the phone
for that long I guess someone got the message that I wasn't interested.

Re: Sprint Telemarketing my Cell Phone!
I told them in no uncertain terms to never call me again. They got the
picture.

Re: Sprint Telemarketing my Cell Phone!
Here is a very easy way to get removed from their telemarketing list.
send an email to [email protected], this is their customer care
email address, ask them to mark your account to opt out of
telemarketing calls and mailings. It can take up to 30 days for your
account to be removed from all the different lists, but after that, no
more telemarketing from sprint.
You will want to make sure to include the following in the email as
well, so that they can access your account easily, without having to
email you back asking for it.
a. your PCS number
b. your email address as it appears on your account
c. your mailing address, as it appears on your account.
A friend on the inside :-)
