    The small screens don't bother me- I'll be browsing at Border's or Barnes
    & Noble's books, and then buy online at their websites to get lower prices,

    and select "in-store pickup" and have my purchase waiting at the counter
    after I finish my coffee.

    Agreed. I probably use e-mail on my phone more than on my PC now,
    especially since I found a decent freeware HTML-enabled e-mail app for my
    PPC phone. (QMail)

    I think we just need to keep it in perspective- obviously the
    PPC/Smartphones aren't as capable as modern desktops, but I can get more
    work done on one than I could on, say, my first 286-based PC!

    Is that why you have service from SBC/ATT vs. Verizon?
