I suppose you could buy one, swap covers, and return it. This
is not strictly ethical, but when you factor in that the company has
not given you any reasonable options (unless you just haven't asked
for them), the guilt is ameliorated by far, by your status as a loyal
customer who isn't being well-served.

Have you tried calling Sanyo? It seems like that would be a logical place to
look.
