I had been unable to send test messages for a while tonite.
    Call *2 and there is a recording/announcement
"If you are experience errors or delays in text messaging, we expect repairs
    within 2 hours"..
Doesn't say when the '2 hours' starts....

Anyone have clue what is going on?

My kids have been having the same problem since early this afternoon- they
can receive but can not send. My oldest found a way around it with Picture
    Mail.

Just checked- it appears to be fine now.

Basically, there was a problem with the text messaging servers in
    certain areas of the country.

In regard to the message you are hearing when calling in, it means, be
patient, we are aware of the problem and are working to get it
remedied. They do not need further examples of the issue, so please
do not stay on the line for help troubleshooting this particular
problem at this time.. That way we can better assist those with
different problems, that are not already being worked on.

Based on the information I have, The issue should have been resolved
at this time. If you are still experiencing issues, try power cycling
your device [powering it off, then back on after a few minutes.]. If
you still have problems after this, then there may be a DIFFERENT
issue happening in your area then what was going on earlier. That
should definitely be reported if that is the case.
