This is a follow up to the Acct Usage thread about how my account was
correctly showing minute usage between 3 phones, but with a bit more added,
under a different subject line.
I did notice a little problem with roaming on my account. My daughter's
phone line was showing $3.25 in roaming charges this past month and
shouldn't, as I had added the $10 F&CA roaming option (#F Roaming) to my
$85 plan for 2000 minutes.
#F is suppose to cover all phones on the account for roaming & LD charges
while roaming. So, I call up CS, and speak with one rep, who said I had the
$10 for 50 minute option on my account. I corrected her, giving her a
history of when I added the option back in March/April. She still says I'm
on the older bucket of roaming minutes option.I tell her she's incorrect,
and to look up #F Roaming in her computer. She says she has ... Then she
brags she's been with Sprint CS for 3 years and I was incorrect on what was
on my plan. I told her politely that she was wrong and I'd call CS again.
Called again, and spoke with Carolyn. She goes a bit deeper in my plan,
confirms the #F option, and notices a coding error on my daughter's line.
Provides a credit for the roaming charges and says she's corrected and
confirmed the coding for all three lines, so that I won't see any roaming
charges, starting on my next billing cycle.
Long story short, I got the problem resolved, but it shouldn't have taken 2
calls to do it.
Bob
PS: In both calls to SPCS CS via the 888 number this morning (Sat. 8:30 AM),
the wait time was no more than 15 seconds after saying "Billing problem" to
Claire.

Re: Bad news / Good News
Yep, it's sad. I called twice this week because my new shared plan has 8pm
N/W and the website says 9pm. I called twice to confirm this because I
didn't trust the first one!

Here we... ****ING go again. Sorry, Bob. I wish to hell I could find these
*allegedly* experienced reps and bang some truth into their heads.

I'm glad you got through rapidly. But you're right. It shouldn't have
taken two calls.

gratuitous sarcasm:
Remember when Sprint only offered single-band, Sprint-only service, and they
couldn't bill people properly? What makes you think they could get this
right?

Well, they did get it right on my phone line. The problem was on the other
two lines, where it wasn't coded correctly. Funny though, as #F roaming is
suppose to be on the whole account, and not just one line. Anyhoo, I was
told it was fixed, so ... we will see once the new statement is uploaded on
the 8/13 to 9/12 billing cycle.

The irony of this is that I've been with SPCS since it became available in
the Charlotte market, last quarter in 98. I probably know more about the
system than the first rep did with her alleged 3 year service as a CS rep. I
say alleged, as it was strange how she brought up the 3 year experience,
when I didn't ask how long she had been working there ..., nor did I bring
up the fact of my length of time as a customer ...
Methinks she was having either a bad day, was OTR ... or possibly both.

Re: Bad news / Good News
Sprint also incorrectly coded my picture mail account which they told me
(via text message) was going to expire on August 9th and I'd have to pay
an additonal $5/mo. Well I have the old $10 unlimited Vision plan which
is supposed to include picture mail. So I called and spoke to someone in
the wireless web dept. and sure enough he said they had the wrong code
and had to manually enter the right one. Now if I was someone who didn't
know a little something about these plans and Sprint then I might have
just went along and paid the extra $5/mo for no reason. I wonder how
many others this has happened to?

Funny, I always *****ed it "anywho," to indicate the replacement of "how"

Is "anywho" simply intended as a stylish mispronunciation rather than a
Bushistic* word customization?
With either intention, I did always feel like the "anywho" *****ing had a
typo appearance and might not be appreciated. "Anyhoo" is also only one
letter away from correct, but somehow has a more intentional (and phonetic)
look to it.
*Ironically, many make fun of W for his creative use of language even though
much of it is actually logical use of suffixes/prefixes, much more so than
the widespread misuse of words across America (especially by people that are
most likely to hate republicans), such as the completely incorrect
understanding of the word "light-year." These same people find it funny to
use words like "Bushism" which shows their actual understanding of the logic
behind the creation of custom words, and why they really make sense. Of
course, W often says completely idiotic things too, but I hope you
understand the occasional irony.

It's not a word, as *****ed, but when spoken, it sounds a bit more personal
than anyhow.
