I understand that direct Hotmail access is not yet available with PCS
Vision. Is anyone using a third-party application/service to retrieve
Hotmail? If so, which one and how good is it?

Re: Hotmail with PCS Vision
It's not yet officially available. It might just happen to work on some
phones but not on others. Hopefully it will be coming soon.

Re: Hotmail with PCS Vision
Absolutely does not work on mine as well as at least 5 others I've seen.
In fact you are the first I've ever heard who says it works on the A500.
When I enter my username and password it will not take me to my e-mail.
It will just give me a log in loop error (takes me right back to the
log-in prompt). The only thing I can think of is that you're running an
earlier software version which does most of us who have already updated
no good.

Re: Hotmail with PCS Vision
Using an I500 with Blazer, I go to mobile.msn.com. It links to
"mobile.msn.com/pocketpc/menu.aspx". That page is a "Welcome Page" with
various options but no "option 1 Hotmail". Peoples' experiences may
indeed depend on how their particular phone interacts with Vision.
However,

Re: Hotmail with PCS Vision
Interesting. Blazer 2.1.4s2 Bld 10 is bundled with the I500. Those who
claim Hotmail works - what version of Blazer (or other browser) are you
using?

Re: Hotmail with PCS Vision
You can easily access your Hot Mail account using the Blazer browser on
your handset. Visit http://mobile.msn.com/hm/folder.aspx for access.
You could add it to your list of bookmarks, so you don't have to keep
re-keying the URL.
Hope this helps!

Re: Hotmail with PCS Vision
A wonderful resource for FAQs regarding Blazer browser is located on
Handspring web site at http://www.handspring.com. Just click on the
link for custer help/support. There are many answers to common Blazer
Browser problems.
The only site I know you cannot link to is the Sprint PCS account
management site. This is due to the inherent limitations of the Blazer
browser (there is no encryption in the Palm OS devices which the site
requires).
