i know you guys aren't asking about it further, but i've found the best
antenna to be offered by wilsonelectronics.com

i've been using their hard mounting (nmo mount) for several years and love
it. only thing that sucks is when i change phones i've got to get a new
    adapter.

Vision will only work when you are on the Sprint PCS network. So you
will need an antenna that works in the 1900 MHz PCS band. Bear in mind
that the Sprint network is composed of both company owned and affiliate
networks. So there may be times where your phone indicates you are in
the Sprint PCS network, but data services are not available.
Here is a link to a web site that external antenna adpaters:

    http://www.discountcell.com/cellular...N400,+SPH+N400

Another web site to check is:

    http://www.wilsonelectronics.com

This ought to give you a start.
