    I am trying to activate my new phone online, but it is down. Is this

    It is next to impossible to do this. If you do get thru then it will not
    activate a vision phone on a none vision plan. It also will not activate a
    phone that does not have the latest upgrade. It is becoming a nascence

    I called #2 and they want to charge me $36 or will waive the fee if I sign
    another Advantage Agreement.

    This is not right!

    Call them back.

    Have the online activation page up so you can read the wording that it's
    free.
    Explain the online service seems to be "temporarily out of order", and
    request a "free" manual actication.
    Don't get nasty, but be firm, they should cave in.
