Rob, is there a pda available that has the qwerty pad similar to the treo
and is multiple band on the SPCS net? I'd like the treo but without a good
phone too, I'd be real hard put when traveling.

What do you mean by multiple band on the SPCS net? Sprint's network is
100% 1900 mhz, just one band. If you're looking for a dual band PDA
phone with a QWERTY keyboard that you can use off of Sprint's network,
then you need to check out the Treo 600 which comes out in the fall.
It's 1900 mhz and 800 mhz so you can roam on Verizon. Still no analog
though. For info on it, go to www.treocentral.com.

And Vision will not work while roaming.

    I guess I'm Rob?

Looks like you've been given the basic answer already. For whatever reason,
all of our phones with QWERTY thumbpads/keyboards are single-band. And
you've got all the same information I do about the Treo 600. If you need to
roam, then I think the I330 or the I500 are all you've got for PDA phones.

Thanks Rob, was afraid the options on getting a multi-band PDA with the
qwerty keyboard were slim. Perhaps the Treo 600 will come out sooner than
    later.

Rob, am also curious about another billing matter....with addition of the
$10 charge for the roaming .... are any long distance calls while roaming
come under that fee or is that additional?

Just to make sure we're absolutely clear. That's not just an extra $10
add-on. Those are whole new plans that happen to cost $10 more. It's
important to remember that, because switching to that means a new agreement,
    etc.

However, yes, if you're on that plan, and use roaming minutes to call long
distance, the long distance is included also.

Hmmm, the rep. added the roaqming as an "option", no new agreement. My
local calls didn't cost me anything last month but the long distance calls
were charged out at 25 cents a min. Guess I need to talk to someone about
    it. Thanks.

OH! Yeah, I think I know what that is. That's not F&CA if it's what I
think you've got. Those are roaming "bundles." And I don't think Long
Distance is included, so yeah, 25¢/min.
