After a number of construction delays Sprint has finally completed
coverage between Orange County and San Diego County along I-5 thru Camp
Pendleton and San Onofre!!!! All 4 sites have been completed.

Us Sprint users have been waiting for years and years for this to happen
and now we finally have it. This is a day worth celebrating for me ands
    many others I'm sure.

I wonder if the I-15 corridor is covered all the way down. I live
off the 15, up in the Victorville area, and I'd like to visit San Diego
sometime as I've heard lots of nice things about the area.

Yes it should be covered very well. Sprint just added a new site in
Hesperia along the 15 near the 395 interchange. This one helped a lot.

Quicker to take the 215 to Temecula and I-15 to SD. Yes the coverage is
good. I just returned from a trip to Montana that way and found everything
great Steve. SD coverage is very good.

Only place I find some gaps is between I15 and I-5 on the state 76

So now the only hole in I5 from Mexico to BC is from Medford,
OR(actually the CA/OR state line) to Redding, CA

Even T-mobile's hole is smaller here.

    Jim,

You still have those gaps between I15 and I-5 on the 76? I know Sprint
has recently added new coverage along there within the past month.

You have to take Sprint's coverage statements and coverage maps with a grain
of salt. They claim to now cover the Two Harbors area in MN and New
Richmond in WI. Both are listed as new coverage on the maps (meaning they
were not previously shown as covered). I was just out in New Richmond and I
didn't catch my phone on Sprint PCS even once. It was roaming on Verizon
the entire time, and I drove all over town. If you go to the website and
choose Wisconsin, you will see that it is specifically listed. What a bunch
of BS. I have found that is the case in many places I go in this area. It
seams that Sprint has better native digital coverage than anybody else here,
but they are dishonest about where they DON'T have coverage.

Yeah, once they have a few towers up on the map, they just go nuts with the
    forest green magic marker.

I question if that is true.
I believe that there are significant holes west of
    Sacramento north for a while.

Has any actually *driven* 5 (and 505) in that area recently?

(As opposed to just looking at the maps that Sprint issues,
    which are not always accurate.)

There were significant holes along I5 between San Jose (where I started ...
from 280/580) and Sacramento when I drove it last April. Usually the holes
were for only a couple of miles, but they were definitely there.

I have pretty much found the maps and coverage statements to be very
    accurate where I am.
