Can somebody explain the current promotion Sprint PCS is offering in Myrtle
Beach? Something about placing LD calls from only three (3) states (NC, SC
and Georgia)

If I am not mistaking, what they are referring to is a "Regional Plan."
If I am wrong, I stand corrected!

Apparently, there are a number of "regional" long distance plans offered...
They don't include nationwide long distance, but are a bit less expensive
than the national plans.

See the "Sprint 1000min/$45.00 plan" thread in this newsgroup.

It's a "Local" plan, offered because Verizon and Cingular have always
had such plans. Save about $20 a month, if you stay put. If you travel
outside that "Local" area, everything is roaming at 45 cents a minute.
This Local plan is a good deal if you stay at home. If you travel at
all, stay away from that plan.
