SprintPCS still has serious customer service issues. Hopefully they'll
get solved. Ignoring them on this board does no favor to any potential
customer. I would get totally turned off if I went to a Usenet group
(say chi.general in Chicago) and asked about delivery problems from "The
Room Store", cause I liked one of their sofas, and a Sears employee or
three insisted there were no delivery problems when I knew different.
Such an apologist would scare me away from "The Room Store". If such an
apologist tried to intimidate posters with negative delivery
experiences, then thats another major minus.
But its these kinds of counter productive posts we see from some
SprintPCS apologists.
Its those Sprint apologists that are trolls. A posting has to be untrue
to be a troll.
+ Sprint customer service is improving
+ Just escalate if *2 can't resolve a problem
+ Sprint catching up to competitors with more customers
+ Justin lies/mislead/changed his story.
+ Phillipe uses bad language
+ Smith only used the "S" word 3 times.
All the above are lies (trolls) from Sprint apologists or employees.
Coaching someone on what to do after Sprint CSRs have lied to them is
not a troll. Posting ones experience with CSRs is not a troll. Comparing
service levels in different Sprint stores is not a troll. Posting a
Press Release is not a troll (unless its widely off topic). Posting the
link to the new JD Power study on cellular service is not a troll.
Giving one's opinion of Sprint Customer Service (based upon experience)
is not a troll. Giving a link to various Sprint 800 numbers found
elsewhere on the web is not a troll. Listing which model phones have
been discontinued is not a troll. Comparing retention plans is not a
troll. Asking questions about perceived bugs in cell phones is not a
troll. Asking questions about Advantage Agreements is not a troll.
Asking questions about one's bill is not a troll.
Repeatedly calling them trolls does not make them trolls. Calling a
poster a liar everyday does not make them a liar, but is counter
productive in giving SprintPCS a good image for potential customers.

Everthing that is to be said has been said on this manner, i
support this view all the way....... i started posting not too long ago
but when the bickering escalated and the number of post be came
ridiculous, i stepped back. It bcame so bothersome, one would half to
go back a couple of pages to find a decent thread let alone the
originating thread in reference to an issue of interest; and no, it
does not reflect nicely at all on Sprint (mind you i have my own
issues), the services has issues to be dealt with, but i still enjoy the
service and continue to be a loyal customer despite the fact i have to
get a line with my new employer.

That goes both ways. I am a Sprint customer and have had issues with
CS in the past. But... When I start a new thread asking about what
phones Costco has as I need a replacement handset, should a select few
anti Sprint types automatically respond within minutes and completely
ignore my actual questions and immediately start spouting off about
how I will be wrongly charged for phone activation and how my contract
will be somehow reset back to two years and how the service sucks in
their area and how Sprint double charged them for something and blah
blah blah? I see that as NOTHING but a troll. Even more so when they
mentioned the same exact thing in a previous thread the day before for
a different question that I was active in and the day before that and
so on. That IS counter productive and NOTHING but a troll. I am not
a new customer, I am not asking about how Sprint CS operates to see if
I want Sprint as a carrier, I asked about what some store has for
handsets.
I understand the help a newbie in the group might get from a salty
dogs previous experience but for every complete newbie there are
probably 20 regulars that get sick and tired of the same old story
over and over and over again in almost every thread that comes up.
>Its those Sprint apologists that are trolls. A posting has to be untrue

I am no an apologist for anything but I can tell you that I was NOT
charged for activation of my replacement phone, and my contract was
NOT restarted for two more years on that phone, and the same held true
for another phone I had stolen that was replaced 2 months prior. By
your definition, they would be trolls, or you could say they were
posting thier experience, well that's great but I asked a simple plain
english question of what phones Costco has, not for their experience
with Sprint CS. The regulars here have read the bad luck story and
the CS issues with these people and have already formed an opinion of
the situation, its time to move on instead of bringing the same things
up over and over.

Quite a few of the "salty dogs" and "regulars" die for the opportunity to
pick out mi*****ed words, the slightest inconsistencies in posts, accuse
people of lying, etc. Were they to actually be sick and tired of the crap,
they wouldn't egg it on.

I wish the best for Justin, and hope his next bill is zeroed out as he
has been promised. I'm just worried SprintPCS might find another way to
mess with him and try to extract a few last dollars, like credit him the
amount promised but then charge him a late fee because he didnt pay last
month's bill in full.
