I have been reading some of the posts on here for awhile now, and was
curious as to whether I have a good plan or not, and if not, how I
should go about getting a better one. Here is what I have:

4 lines of service with Vision
    500 anytime minutes
    PCS to PCS
Unlimited nights and weekends starting at 7 pm

    $97.00

I am extemely happy with my service (other than billing errors and
dealing with Customer Service), and am scared to play the "CANCELLATION
/ RETENTION GAME" that some users post on here. WIth my luck, they
    WOULD cancel me.

You don't mention how far you are into a contract, if any. Based upon=20
what you say, I'd transfer you to retention right away, and probably=20
give you an extra hour of minutes (per month) for your trouble.

They can't cancel you unless you tell them specificly to cancel, if you
say you're thinking of cancelling, they won't cancel you.

How long have you been a customer? $97 per month for all 4 lines? I'm
    assuming you have 3 add-a-phones.

Use what you know to your advantage. If your bill is always paid on
time and in full, say that. Also, do some shopping around at the
competitors first, if you see a better deal, write it down and who it is
    with.

Stay calm, and be polite. If you don't get what you like, say 'thank
you' and call back a few minutes later.

Keep to your "I'm thinking of canceling soon" attitude. Think of
reasons to cancel, if you're not in a contract, then you have more
    ammunition.

    Good luck.

All very good advice, except if I said a similar thing, I get flamed.

My original contract started in February of 2003, but I added the fourth
line in July and agreed to an additional year to get the rebates on an
8100. Apparently, you guys do not think this is a very good plan?

Should I call now, or wait until WLNP is in effect? Will there be better
    deals to retain customers then?

Why would you get anything, you are under contract until Feb 2005! I am
curious how you would get a plan such as yours for the price you mention.
Something seems wrong there. In Feb 2003, they offered what you say (plus
    the $7 / month) for

    $45 - 500 min
    $10 - PCS Vision
$5 PCS-PCS (since you said you had a one year contract ... it was free with
    2 years)
    $20 * 3 add-a-phone
    $7 Unlimitted night and weekends @ 7PM

TOTAL BEFORE TAX,FEES,MANDATES and somewhat arbitrary recovery charges is
$127 / month. So how did you get this plan at the rate you currently
mention? It sounds like a retention deal already, but it doesn't appear you
have the desire to negotiate a retention deal, so it is unlikely you are on
    an retention plan.

Actually, in terms of phones sharing minutes, I don't think there is a=20
better plan to get. Maybe more minutes. I have to admit I've never=20
come across a customer with a retention plan that was add-a-phone.

I could have had one for my wife. I chose not to.

Heck if I know how I got it, but I did. This is how the numbers tally
    up:
    $45 - 500 min
    $10 - PCS Vision
    $0 - PCS-PCS
    $20 - 3 add-a-phone (1st added line is free)
    $7 - Unlimited night and weekends @ 7PM
    -$30 company discount
So, I assume it must be a mistake on their part?
