This is an issue with this forum of mine, when contradictory information
    is posted by Sprint employees.

    T608 coming out ?

Sanyo phones better than Samsung for reception?

Cost of Vision on a Palm phone?

Are examples from Friday alone. I get the impression some SprintPCS
employees are presenting educated guesses or opinions as facts.

Re: Contradictory Information posted by SprintPCS employees

No one really knows if the T608 is coming out.

As far as Sprint PCS Samsungs phones go, I feel Sanyo has them beat..

Cost of Vision on a PDA phone for Sprint is $30 for unlimited Vision.
However, I don't know if you will have to change plans if you switch
    your phone or not.

welll hmmm let me change this.. I just called customer service and asked
them if I purchased a pocket pcs phone would there be any extra cost,
and they just told me no. I will try again later and see... let me also
add I got to a customer service rep with NO hold time.

The question is whats the cost for Unlimited Vision as an add-on for

    1. A Palm Phone

    2. A Pocket PC Phone

and if you're calling *2, I'd want best 4 out of 7 for an answer.

It's $30 for Vision on the PocketPC phones; $15 for the Palm-based
PDAs. The $30 for Vision changes to $15/Vision if your service plan is
    $100 or higher per month.

The T608 is not dead, I just had that confirmed by two Sprint Business
    Solutions Parthers.

On new plans you have to buy two Vision Packs if you have a Pocket PC.
Palm users are only charged $15 a month for Vision. Older plans do not
require you to have two Vision Packs if using a Pocket PC.

    Your exactly right Hatoncat..

And this is directed for everyone.. In my EXPERIENCE with both brands of
phone, My OPINION is that Sprint PCS Sanyo phones recieve better
reception than most Sprint PCS Samsung phones.. Especially when a Sanyo
phone is compared to a Samsung N-400.. LOL I don't know how they fair
against other carriers Samsung phones, but it hard to tell anyways becus
of it being different carries, they have areas covered differently.

All this shows this newsgroup to have become a total waste. These Sprint
employees want to show off with answers whether they know the answer or not,
they just make one up so the can post, and then go get upset if someone points
    out the contradiction.

$15/month for a Palm, $30/month for a Pocket PC. Just like we say on
    our web site:

"Additional charges apply for PCS Phones with PDA functionality that use
    Microsoft® Pocket PC operating systems."

Re: Contradictory Information posted by SprintPCS employees

Well I don't think even Sprint themselves know if they will carry it or
not. I mean whats the point? SE is dropping out of North America CDMA
market, so there wont be any new SE phones after that for Sprint OR
    Verizon, so it kinda pointless.

With the Sanyo vs Samung issue, that is a matter of Opinion not fact.
Some think Samsung is better, while other think Sanyo is better. and
just to add my opinion, Sanyo is far better in reception to me, and this
is through my experince using both brands.

And as far as the Palm OS vs Pocket PCS price go.. The $30 Vision charge
for PC and the Normal $15 Vision charge for Palm OS sounds good to me,
and I would think it would be that way since the Pocket PC is able to
access true HTML internet webpages vs the WAP browser included on Palm
OS.. And plus is does say on the Web Page like O'siris said, "Additional
charges apply for PCS Phones with PDA functionality that use Microsoft®
    Pocket PC operating systems."
And this was found in the business section of the Sprint PCS website
regarding the issue.. I'm sure it's the same for consumers as well.
"Employees who purchase a PDA that uses Windows® Pocket PC will be
charged an additional $15 per month"
And the Term "Employees" refer to business employees, not Sprint PCS
    Employees

    Helps to research the website.

That is my mistake, i was told wrong by my boss. The $15 additional
only applies to pocket pc phones.

Personally this is untrue. I wouldn't get upset and would never lie to
you. I would rather say I DON'T KNOW than give someone information that
will screw them up. I am here for one purpose, help those that want it.
