The problem here is there is a world of difference between the way
things should operate, and the way they do. Thats the whole reason for a
    Consumer Code.

I'm not going to tell you you're wrong about that. Often, there is a huge
disconnect between what should happen and what does happen.

However, it's not your obligation, my obligation, or an obligation of any
people here who are not Sprint PCS employees to give out information about
Sprint PCS's policies and rules to anyone else. That obligation lies with
the people who work for SPCS.

    Re: Sprint PCS Service

What I wish would happen is that before selling a phone at the store,
that the rep would give the TOS to the customer and have them review it,
and sign a copy of it to go along WITH the contract stating the have
reviewed the TOS and understand its conditions..I mean basically the TOS
is a contract within itself, and NEEDS to be read and explained to the
customer if the customer has any questions.

Also I think Sprint PCS should follow up on new activations, like what I
do at Verizon Wireless, and try to correct any mistakes made on the
setup of the account before it impacts the customer in a negative way.
You don't realize how many screwups I have corrected, and fraudulant
accounts I have fixed in the 3 months I have been with Verizon Wireless.
I understand we can reach ALL new customers, but we reach a GOOD ammount
of them..Sprint should really take some lessons from Verizon.

You attributed wrong. I said what you replied to. And you're assuming that
Sprint is not telling people about the activation fee, which may or may not
    be true.

My whole beef with the activation fee thing is that new service is
advertised with activation fee.. It's on all the literature promoting
the plans, it's een in the fine print of the commericals. If people
would learn to just take a couple mintes to read and see what their
getting themselves into, things would be much better.. Sometime people
forget to mention certain things, its human.. no one is perfect. No
companie is perfect. there is no such thing as perfect. only God himself
    is perfect.

I admitt however there are bad reps out there that dont give certain
info on purpose, but usually those people dont last to long at those
jobs.. there are corrupt people out there. Not in all instances is it
the fault of the company or fault of training.

Then there is just plain stupidity, and those persons dont last to long
either, but innocent people suffer at thier dumbness or evilness. It
    just life.

That would require intelligent thought on his part.

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. The Terms and Conditions on the SprinPpCS web site
    say:

You may be required to pay a non-refundable phone activation fee when
you activate a new Number, have us switch a Number to a different phone,
have your current Number changed, we activate a different phone on your
existing account or your Service Plan says so.

What part of "may be" do you not understand?

Hmm well let me think.. customer who activate through business services
under a business diso**** dont have to pay activation, and sometime certain
promotion dont require you to pay an activation (ex.. Like Verizon's No
activation fee with a 2 yr contract) stuff like that.. so hence the quote
"May be".. If a customer is not SURE, They should ASK! You dont jump into
ANY contract without ASKING for the details! A sales person is not going to
***** out every detail when trying to make a sale. He is going to tell you
just what you are wanting to here, they are not going to mention extra
charges like activation fees and proration and so forth.. It your job to ask
    questions before you sign ANYTHING!
