Nicholas, where did you move I ask because I moved from Ohio to California
they did give me a local number, but my contract date also got reset (pushed
back about seven months, which is ridiculous because I hadn't ordered any
    new services on the account).

You need to document everything in writing. Make sure any further
communications are in writing - screw the phone conversations, they're
pretty useless as evidence in court.

    > must be some way to get out of paying this fee. If I get out of paying

Well, the big thing is disputing everything in writing, which you probably
should have done from the beginning. Send your stuff to SPCS via certified
mail with return receipt, in order to get proof that they have indeed received
    your letter(s).

Sounds like there were a metric buttload of screwups on this account, and
I'd be interested in finding out how it all gets resolved.

This is PRECISELY what happened to me on my move. I did get credit for
the ETF in Ohio and the activation in Cali, but my contract date still reset.

No Sprint store in Victorville yet, but when I have some time I'm heading
down to Redlands. They'll be given two options: either reset me to 11/28/03,
my original contract end-date, or give me a discounted phone since my wife's
is almost dead anyhow. I'd consider a phone subsidy a reasonable solution,
especially since we need a new phone.

Not because I bought a discounted phone or added promotions, but simply
because I moved my service. That's a crappy way to treat a loyal customer. :P

EXACTLY. Only my wife's Sprint phone was reset when we moved. I did the
EZ Move with Verizon and both of my Verizon lines kept the same contract
    end date.

Oh, and no one bothered telling me that the end date changed, and then
some CSR pulled up my account - I'd just happened to ask when the end date
was, and she said it was sometime in 2004 (which is wrong).

What happened is this: When the CSA change was made - it expired old plan,
started new plan (even if the plan is the same one you were on before CSA) old
plan was prorated, new plan was prorated - which means you didn't have all the
minutes in plan(s) for the billing period the CSA was done. You should call *2
    - and get the overage credited and ask for supervisor if CSR won't do this - or
go to store, let them call CSR and explain the above. CSR should have fixed
this when you did CSA. Tell them you just did CSA change - this should alert
them to what happened but may not (depending on the CSR you get).

    Re: My story with Sprint

Well it shouldnt be, and I would fight that.. They are suppose to honor
your orinigal contract date.. even if no notes are in the account, it is
easy for them to see you had a CSA change. And according to their OWN
m&p's your original contract end date should be honored.. I do
understand your frustration about them having to add a new contract on,
but it has to be done to keep you from being charged the $10 month2month
fee, but like I said the if you cancel at the end of your original
contract they will have to honor it, and appy the ETF refund code to
    counter the charge.

    Re: My story with Sprint

read my previous post to this one.. it should be easy to see a csa
change was done, and according to thier own M&P's the original contract
date is to be honored.. If they dont, escalate, and keep escalating to
you get it done.. if you have to file a complaint with BBB and get
    executive services involved.
