I just the new plans and I wanted to change (they are cheaper).
Right now I have 800/$70 Free and Clear America with the 7pm off peak
    option.
I want to change to the 700/$50 with the 7pm add on option and the Free &
    Clear America option for $5
The CSR said that the 7pm option was not compatible with the new plans. I
got the feeling she didn't know what she was doing/saying (she didn't even
know about the $50/700 plan) and she said she couldn't find the code for the
7pm for the new plan. Any hints?
    Thanks!

Call back! I switched to the $50 / 700 plan yesterday and was able to
keep my 7 pm off peak option. I could not get the F&CA option in this
area, tho. Maybe that is the difference?

so, then, they're not cheaper if you're giving up a 7 pm call time, right?

Looking over these new plans and I see them to be WAY more expensive than
the plan I've got, which was a standard offering (not retention) that's only
6 months old. To replace my $100 2,000 peak minutes unlimited N&W, unlimited
vision on two lines plan it'd cost me $140 with these new "cheaper" plans.
($100 for the mins, $15 for vision, $25 for the added line with vision).
That's a 40 percent increase ---- and easily into Verizon pricing. And if
forced to pay for Verizon prices I'd expect Verizon service ---- not a
collection of doorknobs worried about "up-selling" than correcting a
    problem.

My name for these new "cheaper" plans is the "F*ck Sprint" offerings ---- as
in F*ck Sprint if they want this sort of money for the opportunity to deal
    with "up-sellers" when there's a problem.

What area code are you in? I may be able to figure out what's up. So
far as I'm aware, those options *are* still available.

I have to concede the higher level plans. That's the part I was looking
at when people earlier stated they were nothing to get excited about.
However, at the mid-level, I think we made some good moves. Again,
nothing radical, but a definite step up.

On the $100 plan, vision should be free for main line and $5 for
    add-a-lines.

    I have a two phone plan that's $85 total w/ 2000 shared minutes.
The minutes can be used anytime; there's no evening or weekend schedule.
Phone to phone calls and to other sprint phones are free.
Only one of the phones is a vision phone; I dunno if the plan would cover
    two vision phones.

I agree with you there. I started my current plan at the end of June
before the last plan change. I have the 2000 plan $100 with three
phones, $10 for F&CA on all, free PCS2PCS on all, free N&W (9pm start)
on all, and free vision on all. My first add on phone was free and I
pay $20 for the third. Grand total is $130 plus an average 5%
discount from work. I originally had a 600 minute plan but the bump
up to 2000 worked out to only $20 more. The most plan minutes I've
used so far in any one month was 800. Oh well, I have 1200 to spare.
I could save a nickel and dime here and there as I only roam about 15
minutes a month so the F&CA is not much help and 2 of the 3 phones
rarely use Vision but I'm happy.

There's a contradictioon on Sprint's web sites. One place says
add-a-phone is no available on all plans, another says not on the
    $35/month plan.

Nope, not what it says on the web on new spreadsheet.

Much like you I seldom come close to the back of my minutes ---- but on my
old plan (700??) the few times I did go over it hurt pretty bad with over
minute charges. That said I'm real happy with the plan I've got --- and got
happier today when I found out what the new plans cost. <grin> I don't have
the F&CA 'cause I'm seldom in a place where the cell tries to roam. Heck,
I've had my phones set on SPCS only for the past several years and only in
extremely remote locations don't get service. And I'm on the road > 40 weeks
    a year.

And I'll glance over that Vision comment --- don't wanna start THAT
    conversation again. <GRIN>

    All the best

yes it would, and you can add another for $20. That is a great plan
