But, but that would actually cost the company money. No carrier likes
to roam.

Probably never. They will stick to their Secondary client that they are
still using. they will probably tell their sales reps to "overcome the
objection" by changing the topic.
> When PTT will be available
It better be soon, Every day Nextel is signing more & more customers to
two-year contracts.
> When T608 will be available
Never. Sony Ericson pulled out of CDMA the week the T608 was to launch.
Besides, anyone who has seen the AT&T T616 knows how not friendy the
phone is.

There is better info on the net than with most Sprint Reps. Most Sprint
reps that do tell the truth usually get their info off the net anyway (
God knows the company will never tell them)

You have never been in sales before have you. Nobody puts negative
items like that in a sales pitch. ESpically Sprint Reps that have to
hit 70% of their quota to even get paid on their at risk (not to mention
their other quotas on LD & Accessories)

Outsource it to Mexico where no one could understand the representatives
and then claim that since no can log a complaint (since no one can
understand each other) claim they have improved Customer care by so
much, a collect a huge bonus :-)

vargas swore there were no quotas. Which of you two is lying. Is it just a

Pricing on roaming plans: $5 per month
PTT: Late 4Q/early 1Q
T608: Waiting for SE to mass produce, it IS being made.
Vision/Data Cables: You CAN do it, but sprint says not to.

The T608 will not be mass produced. It will be regulated to a limited
release of 10,000 units direct from Sprint.

To clear it up, I'm assuming Ben is talking about SALES reps, while
O/Sirus and i were talking about CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS and TECHNICAL
SERVICE REPS.
Neither of us ever denied that SALES reps have quotas, and the only
"quota" that exists for customer service reps are numbers that the
manager would LIKE to see, but do not enforce.
A sales rep doesn't make quota, he takes a hit on his comission check.
A customer service rep doesn't hit these suggest numbers, they do not
take any hit in pay.
Don't continue to twist what we've said around to make it sound in your
favor.

Sales reps don't really have quotas, they get bonuses for each phone
they sell, they are dependent on new/existing and MRC.

Makes sense to me... $0.50/minute plus $0.25/minute long distance. It's
actually gotten to be simpler since a year or two ago when it depended on
where you were in some markets. Here in Virginia it used to be
$0.39/minute plus an unknown long distance rate ($0.25/minute) if you were
in Virginia or North Carolina, and $0.69/minute plus that same unknown
long distance rate if you were anywhere else.
> When SMS will be available
Probably whenever they damn well please.
> When PTT will be available
Once Verizon Wireless and Nextel have finished duking it out.
> When T608 will be available
Never.
> When Larry is told the truth
Never.
> Defective/refurbished Samsung 8500 phones for sale at stores
This is a new one on me... but common sense would dictate that if you're
buying a phone that's been discontinued for over two years, something's
probably wrong.
> Whether salesmen are telling truth about using data cables with Vision
Depends on where you go. I've told customers it's possible, and sold them
the necessary equipment. I've also pointed out to each one of them that it
is not permitted under the terms of service, and they are likely to be
billed for it at any time. They've all decided to take their chances.
> When Sprint will honor Inustry Consumer Code and issue honest coverage map
The coverage map here for the state of Virginia is very accurate. In fact,
the coverage in many places is understated.
> When Smith learns the difference between $5 and $10
Ummm.... what the hell are we talking about?
> When salesmen will inform customers
> first free months require cancellation to avoid fees.
Okay, going back to that COMMON SENSE thing, "first two months free"
(Vision, Voice Command) does not say "first two months and all subsequent
months free"... it says "first two months free." For those less capable of
going on without killing themselves with their own stupidity, I remind
them to call in and cancel before the two months is up. I usually hear
back from them about four months later, claiming I never told them they'd
be billed for the service. They are usually the same ones who have been
walking around with a phone that has been cut off and is headed for
collections because they apparently misunderstood the whole "recurring
monthly charge" concept.
> How they improive Customer Service by making phone wait times longer.
I've actually had great success in reaching Customer Solutions lately.
Sprint Landline has longer hold times (and a charming southern accent). At
least there's no more $3 service charge, and the India call center only
handles activations now.

WRONG. Its up to the individual manager, almost all of whom do enforce
it. Nice try.

BULL****!!! Tale to any Sprint rep and they will tell you they have a
quota. Ask anyone who was in the Chicago area last year when almost
everyone in retail sales was written up for performance due to not
hitting quota. Ask about accelerator/decelerator for percent to quota.
Ever wonder why all the good reps have left Sprint. It's not hard to
figure out your director of retail wants to write up every sales rep out
there when he don't get his bonus check.
