    Hi,
I see a lot of savings (instant and mail in) on sprint phones. I have
been a sprint customer for almost 3 years. My contract expired last
year. How do I get the savings offered for the fones. I donot want to
sign another agreement. The website says, for people without any new
plns, they will recieve mailin rebates. Does this mean without
    agreement?
Alos, I will be glad if anyone can tell me any other way on how to save
    on sprint fones.
    Thank you
    -VJ

    Threaten to cancel.

Sprint will do nothing if they feel you are going to pay full price for
    a phone ($Ka-Ching, thank you$)

The only way SPrint will do anything for you is to Threaten to cancel.
Then they will give you the world.

Sprint will have an upgrade program in place in a few months so that
you don't have to cancel and sign back up just to get a good deal on
    phones.

So you wind up extending for what , two years? any other company
already has this in place, why is Sprint so greedy that they rol it out
only at certain times and not at others.

Keep an eye open... there is a mail-in rebate program for existing
customers launching October 15th. Dunno if it's exclusive to a certain
national dealer or not, but we'll see.

Are you aware of *any* carrier that offers free phones or great=20
reductions in price without a new contract?

As for the mailin rebate, that, too, requires an agreement.

hatoncat said "in a few months". Since you're both Sprint employees, which one
is just giving a wild-ass guess, or is it both?

I don't work for Sprint, I don't know when the upgrade program will be
in place exactly. It should be in around when PTT launches and that
could be anywhere from one to three months.

Sprint may also begin offering rebates for existing customers now, as
they have done in the past.

    Clarify, don't accuse.
