This may be an easy solution, but I have not found it yet.
The Sprint Samsung N400 phone I use the most is a nice, averagely compact
flip phone for the money with average features (but the speakerphone is
wonderful). The problem is the keyguard - when the keyguard is on, one only
has to hold the "back" key, which is exposed when closed, for 3 seconds.
This being the case, I find it extremely ease to manage to press the said
exposed "back" key for 3 seconds when in a pocket. When this happens, the
"OK" joystick (which is exposed as well when closed) is active and open to
further rather curious random manipulations while in said pocket, with
equally random results.
Does anyone know a way to undo this rather curious and seemingly self
defeating feature of the keyguard (just hold this exposed button for 3
seconds) on this particular telephone? If not, no big deal as I have
learned to be careful for now, but it would be handy.

Irritating, isn't it? I squeezed a small O ring into an oval shape and
glued it on the case around the key. That protects it from most
inadvertent presses.

Pragmatic but effective - good advice, thanks, and beats the alternative I
had considered, which involves the back button and super glue directly.
