    https://messaging.sprintpcs.com/sml/...seShortMail.do
    shows that, as of 17 November, Sprint will discontinue the View and
    Organize Inbox feature for One-Way Messaging and Short Mail from this
    website beginning on or after the 17th of November.

    This means that if you don't have Wireless Web or PCS Vision as prepaid
    options in your plan, it will cost you fifty cents a minute to clear SMS
    spam out of your Short Mail inbox.

    First, SPCS cut off the ability to read Short Mail on the phones without
    using Wireless Web minutes, and now we can't even clear messages we sdon;t
    want to see without using WW minutes.

    This demonstrates the greed of SPCS.

    You can have the linkage between [email protected] and
    incoming text messages broken by calling Clueless Claire. However, this
    does nothing for SMS spam or other harassment.

    No. If you have a Vision phone, it'll cost 1=A2/KB. Not 50=A2/min.

    Just wanted to clear that portion up.

    Isn't this rumored to be in preparation for SPCS supporting "true" SMS?
    (MO-SMS)

    Which is a HUGE amount of money to charge people for spam.

    Its a regional thing. Area wide only.

    Now for an interesting question: What about qwest customers when they come
    online? Are they gonna be under the affiliate? Or corporate? This is an
    affiliate market, IIRC.

    Not really. Vision has always charged by the KB, rather than by the minute=
    .. =20
    Until earlier this year, it was 0.2=A2/KB, then got upped to a full penny.

    Initial indications are that 2wSMS is going to be separately priced. But=

    nothing is official.

    The spam itself costs you nothing. Accessing Shortmail may cost if you're =
    not=20
    on a Vision pack. But the messages themselves are free.

    For the "real" SMS, we'll have to see how that will work out.

    If other peoples' incoming spam is anything like mine, it'd get Vision turned
    off if you actually accessed it over the phone. Several GB/month.

    "true SMS" is supposed to be out sometime in December, according to the
    last CSR I spoke with... He stated that all phones may not support
    it...
