    Major Problem,

Like a fool, I bought a used cdma phone on ebay without verifying the
ESN ( to replace my water damaged motorola)
And guess what? Verizon told me they cant program the phone. Looks like
its a bad ESN or it has been scrambled?...Anyone know how i can fix the
ESN to the original marked on the back of the phone? Its a samsung
    a310.

    Any haelp would be Great!!

    JoshIII responds:
The ESN is stored in a CMOS type format (PROM or EPROM).

It would be less expensive for you to replace the phone than to send it back
to the factory for repairs or reprogramming.

Go to Wal-Mart, Circuit City, K-Mart, Office Depot, Staples, Office Max,
Walgreen's, CVS, Eckerds, CompUSA, etc and get a CDMA TracFone for $15 and
there a good chance you're network will be Verizon anyway. I'll even get
you 100 free minutes if you email me before you activate.

    Good luck!

Activating a TracFone soon? Get an email referral from a
TracFone user before you activate and you'll both receive
100 Free airtime minutes! Tracfone uses Cingular, Verizon,
Alltel, Cellular One, and T-Mobile networks, just to name
a few. I've been a happy TracFone user for 4 years.

    Re: BAD ESN

What i mean is, the esn number on the back of the phone does no match
what is in the setup menu un esn number. The esn number listed in the
menu is way to long with many zeros. I dont have the phone where i am
    right now.
