I recently did the $89 STiMobile deal for an LG-5225 (includes $10 air
time) - $89 rebate = basically, free. I'm playing around with the
phone and service and googling for help but some questions remain
unanswered. If this is not the right newsgroup, please excuse me and
direct me to the correct forum. (I found alt.cellular.<nokia,
cingular, verizon, etc.> but no alt.cellular.<lg or stimobile>.)

For any other STiMobile users out there:

Q1: I'm doing the 14-day free trial of their WAP internet service.
After 14 days I can cancel or then pay 19 cents / day for unlimited web
access. I've connected a few times and I still can't figure it out: Am
I being charged 19 cents/day for web access PLUS I have to pay air
time? A few connections seemed to result in no charge against my air
time; one or two did.

That is, is it:
a. 19 cents/day for up to 24 hours of use of the web service + no other
charges.
5 min + 20 min + 12 min = $0.19 TOTAL.
OR
b. 19 cents/day for the ability to access web services + 12 peak/10
off-peak cents per minute air time.
5 min off-peak + 20 min off-peak + 12 min off-peak = 19 + 50 + 200 +
120 cents = $3.89.

I do know that it is 19 cents/day whether you use it or not = approx
$5.70 / month for "unlimited" web access. T-Mobile prepaid appears to
be genuinely FREE, unlimited web access (no charge for air time).

Q2. I was in the WAP browser and I was trying to get to the "address"
or "url" window to enter a URL but I couldn't get there. It was
several hours ago, but I _think_ the key sequence was "right soft key"
--> pop up menu, select URL, "OK" key --> back to main window with an
address box. I couldn't type anything in the box or navigate to it
with the arrow or other keys. It appeared to be toggling between the
box being highlighted and the "Done" or "Go" key but I couldn't enter
an address.

Q3: What is "Location" in the "Settings" Menu? It says, "Location [ON]
will allow network to detect your position. making some applications
easier to use. Turning Location [OFF] will hide your location from
everyone except 911. Etc." Is this for GPS location, like a weather
service or 'restaurant finder' (web browser) knowing my GPS
coordinates? I see no harm in keeping it [ON] ... or am I missing
something? (Note: Law enforcement and emergency services override the
[OFF] setting no matter what.)

Q4: In Settings > Messages > Delivery Receipt: What is that? When I
READ a message, I am automatically SENDING a receipt if it's set to ON?
Or am I requesting a return receipt when I send a message if it's ON?

Thank you very much for your help.
