    Jazmine,
A Cingular or T=Mobile SIMs are GSM. Nextel and the Prepaid version of Nextel BoostMobile are SIM card dependent IDEN.

You need a new SIM for Nextel or Boost service. Since the merger of Sprint and Nextel Nextel service plans seem more affordable. I am a Boost customer and my Boost SIM card works in my Nextel i305.

    Hope this helps!

There are several Nextel phones that are hybrid iDEN/GSM phones that do take
SIMs. My father used one a few years ago when he went to China.

The Nextel iDEN/GSM hybrid phone use a Nextel SIM and non-US GSM frequencies. Recently, looking on Nextel's website it appears they don't do the hybrid phone anymore you now buy a Motorola V180 as an accessory to use your Nextel SIM overseas.

Jazmine needs a new Nextel SIM card.
